AUGUST WAS ALL THAT

So August didn’t come to make friends.

AUGUST 2017 CAME TO GIVE US BOPS. We got tracks to dance to, cry to, vibe to, feel like THAT bitch to, etc. August got us like BET swears they do year after year. But I digress.

This month gave us new music from favorites like Frank Ocean (“Provider”), Jazmine Sullivan (“Insecure”), Miguel (“Sky Walker”), and more! And they all brought their A-game.  As if that wasn’t enough, a few relatively new artists offered up some top-notch tracks too.

We got blessed with Moses Sumney’s latest single “Quarrel”, Kelela’s insanely relatable “LMK”, and Simpson’s bad bitch anthem “Switch Lanes”. Everybody just collectively decided that wigs were going to either be fully secured or snatched. Fair enough.
